BEACON students do mock interviews with guest professionals, practice their public speaking through a game called POP Topics, test their mental math skills with money games, and get matched with professionals in their fields of interest for short term projects.

When you leave BEACON, you will have a portfolio documenting what you learned about yourself, careers researched, mentor experiences, lessons in financial awareness and effective communication.
PARENT ORGANIZATION
BEACON is a program of ALL ABOUT KIDS LA, a non-profit performing arts program that builds self-confidence and a sense of community in children ages 7-18. AAK offers professional instruction in singing, dancing and acting as well as guidance in other areas that will enable children to define and achieve their
life goals. AAK programming runs from 8:30am-2:00pm every Saturday followed by BEACON from 2:00pm-4:00pm.
